The Behavior Health Crisis Center provides support for individuals in crisis. Our facility provides individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis a safe place to get their immediate basic needs met (e.g. meal, shower, clean clothes) for up to 23 hours. Referrals can be made by law enforcement, EMS, hospitals and by walk-in. Their needs will be assessed and linked to services that are appropriate.
The Crisis Center is open for anyone:
- 18 years or older
- experiencing a behavioral health crisis
- that is ambulatory
The goal is to provide a safe and less costly alternative to getting help by diverting individuals from emergency rooms and jails during a behavioral health crisis. The services allow for crisis intervention, observation and stabilization while further working to connect the person to ongoing treatment and care. While it is not an “overnight” shelter, participants may stay at the Crisis Center for up to 23 consecutive hours while staff works to connect them with ongoing support.
