I Pour Life believes that every at-risk and foster care youth deserves the opportunity to learn critical life skills and build social capital within their community, just like we all depend on for a better future. We do this through a program called LifeStrengths.
At-risk and foster care youth face a form of social and economic disadvantage that drastically increases their risk of school drop out, incarceration, homelessness, and unplanned pregnancies. But we believe there is a form of positive youth development training that can avoid these risks altogether.
Our positive youth development programs begin by helping our youth create a LifeMap of goals and dreams, evaluate their inherent inner self through LifeLessons, developing our youths’ external self through LifeSkills, and build their interdependent network with their community through the Social Capital Club.
