years. This group has really hung in there, using virtual platforms for meetings, trainings, surveys, presentations, and resource sharing, all focused on helping empower youth in our community to lead healthy, drug-free lives. We’ve done big things even in the face of adversity, and the world is finally beginning to move back in the direction we came from back in 2019. While COVID is still a threat, we’re beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. We are ready to have in-person meetings once again. Our March HOPE meeting will be in person, with masks not required if you are fully vaccinated. Of course, you’re welcome to wear a mask if you’d prefer, but you’re not comfortable being here in person or you’d simply prefer to Zoom in, that’s great! The address of the office and the Zoom link are both below.
This will be a very relaxed meeting, where we’ll focus on connecting in person again, and celebrating that our group is not only still here, but we’re bigger and better than ever! We’ll talk about three upcoming projects and how you can help implement them:
1) Real Talk – our youth video message contest
2) YOUth Belong- increasing the connection youth feel with their community
3) Free Community Movie Night – 100 Miles to Redemption- a documentary about one person’s struggles and successes as he tackles a 100 mile endurance event and his own recovery
And please bring along fliers, brochures, or other details about any upcoming events and activities you’d like to share!
Fair warning: THERE WILL BE CAKE!
